A quarry in Badnor, 1998
In 1998, a young man from Udaipur walked into a natural stone quarry in Badnor village, Rajasthan — and fell in love with stone.
Not with its appearance alone, but with its soul. The weight of it in his hands. The grain running through it like a fingerprint. The quiet knowledge that each block held, within itself, millions of years of the earth's own memory.
That young man was Tarun Dave — and that single afternoon became the first page of a story that would unfold across twenty-five years, twenty-nine countries, and two companies, each built from absolute zero.
By 2001, that early fascination had become an export enterprise — India's finest slate, sandstone, marble and granite finding their way to clients across the USA, the UK, Italy, China, Turkey, the UAE and beyond. Tarun walked the floors of international stone exhibitions across four continents — not merely selling stone, but learning, exhibition by exhibition, conversation by conversation, exactly what the world wanted from it.
In 2012, two decades of that hard-won, world-facing experience were channelled inward — into a premium stone manufacturing venture based in Udaipur. New products. New machinery. New sourcing networks. A brand built to carry natural stone design into a more modern age.
Then, in 2021, he had to walk away from everything he had built.
The very next day, he started again.
No machines. No factory. No office. No team.
Just twenty-four years of experience, a lifetime of relationships across the stone industry — and an emotion strong enough to become a company's name.
