Our Story

25 years. 29 countries.
One emotion.

How It Began

A quarry in Badnor, 1998

In 1998, a young man from Udaipur walked into a natural stone quarry in Badnor village, Rajasthan — and fell in love with stone.

Not with its appearance alone, but with its soul. The weight of it in his hands. The grain running through it like a fingerprint. The quiet knowledge that each block held, within itself, millions of years of the earth's own memory.

That young man was Tarun Dave — and that single afternoon became the first page of a story that would unfold across twenty-five years, twenty-nine countries, and two companies, each built from absolute zero.

By 2001, that early fascination had become an export enterprise — India's finest slate, sandstone, marble and granite finding their way to clients across the USA, the UK, Italy, China, Turkey, the UAE and beyond. Tarun walked the floors of international stone exhibitions across four continents — not merely selling stone, but learning, exhibition by exhibition, conversation by conversation, exactly what the world wanted from it.

In 2012, two decades of that hard-won, world-facing experience were channelled inward — into a premium stone manufacturing venture based in Udaipur. New products. New machinery. New sourcing networks. A brand built to carry natural stone design into a more modern age.

Then, in 2021, he had to walk away from everything he had built.
The very next day, he started again.

No machines. No factory. No office. No team.

Just twenty-four years of experience, a lifetime of relationships across the stone industry — and an emotion strong enough to become a company's name.

The Journey

Two and a half decades, in five chapters

From a single quarry visit to an international stone career, and from rebuilding everything to founding Stone Emotions — the long road behind every wall we carve today.

1998

A quarry visit in Badnor, Rajasthan

A young Tarun Dave encounters natural stone at the source — and discovers a lifelong fascination with its weight, grain and history.

2001

An export business is born

Indian slate, sandstone, marble and granite begin reaching clients across the USA, UK, Italy, China, Turkey, the UAE and beyond — alongside exhibitions across four continents.

2012

A manufacturing venture in Udaipur

Two decades of international insight are channelled into a premium stone manufacturing brand — new products, machinery and sourcing networks, built for the modern era.

2021

Starting again, from zero

Everything built over the previous chapter is left behind. The next day, with no machines, no factory and no team, the work begins again — built on experience and relationships alone.

Today

Stone Emotions LLP

A design-led natural stone studio in Udaipur — CNC precision and hand finishing, carrying twenty-five years of stone knowledge into every mural, mandir backdrop and feature wall we create.

Stone Emotions, Today

Why the name fits

Stone Emotions isn't a name chosen for marketing. It's a name earned — by someone who has spent a quarter-century learning that stone is never just material. It's memory, geology, and feeling, carved into a form you can live with.

That same philosophy now shapes every wall we design: CNC precision married to hand finishing, natural grain left honest and visible, and a quiet confidence that doesn't need to shout to be noticed.

Twenty-five years of relationships across the global stone industry — sourcing, exhibitions, manufacturing, export — now serve a single purpose: bringing that depth of experience into homes, temples and hotels across India, and increasingly, the world.

What Carries Forward

Twenty-five years, distilled

Material Honesty

Two decades of sourcing across continents taught one lesson above all: never disguise the stone. Its grain, tone and imperfection are the design.

Global Standards

Exhibitions across four continents and clients in 29 countries shaped an eye for quality that doesn't waver based on geography.

Built to Last — Twice

A business rebuilt from zero understands durability in more than one sense. What we make is built to outlast us.

Relationships First

When everything else was gone, relationships remained. Every client and architect partnership is treated with that same weight.

Carry the story forward

Let's design something that lasts

Twenty-five years of stone knowledge, now available for your home, temple or project. Share your wall size and vision — we'll take it from there.

Questions About Stone Emotions

Stone Emotions LLP was founded by Tarun Dave, who brings 25 years of experience in the natural stone industry across 29 countries. This international exposure — spanning project delivery, design collaboration and material sourcing — forms the technical and aesthetic foundation of Stone Emotions.
Stone Emotions LLP is based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. Our manufacturing facility is in Udaipur, where CNC carving, hand finishing and quality inspection are all done in-house. We supply projects across India — from Rajasthan and Gujarat to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and beyond — and handle export orders for international projects.
Three things distinguish us: in-house CNC manufacturing (no outsourcing), a design-led approach (we think like architects, not just suppliers) and the combination of CNC precision with hand finishing. We hold a library of 500+ designs while offering fully custom work — and we work directly with architects, interior designers and developers rather than through intermediaries.
